The Cebora Prof 122 is an industrial plasma cutter of transformer construction, air cooled. It cuts with a current up to 120 A, severance cutting reaches 45 mm in carbon steel, and quality cutting is advised up to 30 mm. The arc is struck by a high frequency system.
What this machine is for
This is a cutter for thick material and for dirty work. A current of 120 A is enough for structural plate, sections, boilers and salvaged parts. Severance cutting reaches 45 mm in carbon steel. At 30 mm you get a quality edge, which you can weld after a short clean, and the card summary gives a good edge up to 35 mm.
A current of 120 A also cuts high alloy steels and aluminium. Plasma needs no reaction with oxygen, so it takes materials that an oxygen torch will not cut: acid resistant steel, aluminium, copper.
The machine goes to metalwork shops, to firms handling scrap and to repair crews. The lack of liquid cooling makes the service and the moving around the hall simpler. The transformer construction takes metal dust and mains voltage swings better than the electronics of an inverter.
Features and equipment
- Transformer construction in the heavy duty class: a simple power circuit, less sensitive to dust and voltage jumps than an inverter.
- Cutting current up to 120 A: a reserve for severing thick plate and for cutting high alloy steels and aluminium.
- Striking with a pilot arc and a high frequency system: the start is immediate, also on rust and paint.
- Supply with compressed air from a compressor with an output from 210 to 230 l/min.

What to watch out for
The air decides the cutting result and the life of the consumables. Pick a compressor with an output from 210 to 230 l/min, add a dryer and a filter, because water and oil in the line burn the nozzle and the electrode. At 45 mm count on a slower feed and on cleaning the lower edge before welding, while up to 30 mm the edge comes out more even.
The card gives no supply voltage, no weight and no dimensions of this unit, so settle the socket type, the fuse rating and the way of transport with us before you buy. A transformer machine is heavy, so a trolley helps when you move it around the hall. Prepare a stock of nozzles, electrodes and shields, because at 120 A the consumables go fast. Confirm the torch and the earth cable with us before collection.
How we sell used machines
This unit was checked in our service workshop in Krotoszyn with measurements to PN-EN 60974-4 and a load test. The price includes the first year of the basic service package: an inspection with cleaning of the machine and a validation measurement. Further years can be added. We ship across the European Union, collection in person by appointment.
