ESAB Origo Tig 4300iw AC/DC is an industrial TIG AC/DC power source with an MMA mode and liquid cooling. You set the TIG current from 4 to 430 A, the MMA current from 16 to 430 A, and at 315 A the machine runs at a 100% duty cycle. The set with the cooler weighs 95 kg.
What this machine is for
This is a power source for production where the welds run in long passes: tanks, pipelines, shipyard structures and parts made of aluminium. With alternating current you weld aluminium and its alloys, with direct current stainless and carbon steels, and the MMA mode adds the covered electrode in the range from 16 to 430 A.
The duty cycle is 400 A at 60% and 315 A at 100%. At 315 A you run a weld without a time limit, so the power source sets no breaks even on thick sections. Liquid cooling takes the heat off the torch, so at such currents it is not the handle that limits the pace of work.
The QWave technology shapes the alternating current wave so that the arc is smoother and quieter than with classic alternating current. Beyond the comfort of work this translates into a steadier pool and welds without porosity. You set the alternating current balance from 50 to 98% and the frequency from 10 to 152 Hz, so you match the share of the cleaning phase and the width of the arc to the state of the aluminium surface.

What to watch out for
The supply is 400 V in a three phase system at 50 Hz, with a 25 A type C fuse, that is a separate power circuit. The housing has protection class IP23 and insulation class H. Liquid cooling needs a check of the coolant level and of the circuit before the start, and after a stop in an unheated hall a check that the fluid has not frozen.
The set with the cooler weighs 95 kg, so you move it on a pallet and set it up in one place. The torch in the set is 4 m, which sets the working radius around the machine. On top of that come a cylinder with argon, a regulator with a flow meter, tungsten electrodes and a set of nozzles, and for aluminium a separate brush for stainless steel.
How we sell used machines
This unit was checked in our service workshop in Krotoszyn with measurements to PN-EN 60974-4 and a load test. The price includes the first year of the basic service package: an inspection with cleaning of the machine and a validation measurement. Further years can be added. We ship across the European Union, collection in person by appointment.
