The EWM Phoenix Cold Arc 330 is an inverter MIG/MAG power source for a 400 V supply, prepared to work with a robot. The card gives a current up to 400 A, and the coldArc process is what welds with a small amount of heat put in. The set has a robot communication module, a wire feeder and a Binzel torch.
What this machine is for
coldArc is an EWM process in which the short arc is controlled so that the droplet detaches at low energy. The part takes less heat, so thin sheet does not burn through and buckles less, and the root run lies without a backing.
The set is put together for automation. The communication module ties the source to the robot controller, the wire feeder is made to work on the arm, and the interconnection cable about 6 m long sets the distance between the source and the robot.

What to watch out for
The supply is a 400 V mains and a three phase circuit. The set is put together for a robot, so for hand welding you need a manual torch and a check whether the feeder control accepts a torch trigger. Before you buy, confirm with us which protocol the communication module handles. The torch is gas cooled, so on long work take breaks and keep a stock of tips and nozzles. The card gives no duty cycle, no weight and no dimensions, so agree these data and the scope of the set with us before collection.
How we sell used machines
This unit was checked in our service workshop in Krotoszyn with measurements to PN-EN 60974-4 and a load test. The price includes the first year of the basic service package: an inspection with cleaning of the machine and a validation measurement. Further years can be added. We ship across the European Union, collection in person by appointment.
