MT 440 W is a liquid-cooled Böhler Welding MIG/MAG torch with a 3 m cable assembly and Euro connector. It takes 0.8 to 1.6 mm wire and is rated 450 A with Ar/CO2 mixed gas and 500 A with CO2 at 100% duty cycle. It is the same model as the 4 m version (81.05.72826) with a shorter cable assembly.
What it is for
Choose the 3 m cable when the workstation is close to the machine or wire feeder and you do not want spare cable on the floor. The rating stays the same as on the 4 m version: 450 A with mixed gas and 500 A with CO2 at 100% duty cycle.
The torch works with a cooling unit and coolant and takes a 3 m liner. To change settings from the handle, choose MT 440 W U/D 3 m.

3 m or 4 m?
The data are the same. The 3 m version leaves less cable at the workstation, the 4 m version (81.05.72826) gives more reach from the machine and is the one Böhler uses in the liquid-cooled TERRA NX SMC and MSE configurations.
