The WU 230 is a Böhler Welding liquid cooling unit for three TERRA NX families: TERRA NX 320 PME, TERRA NX 320/400 TLH and TERRA NX 400/500 MSE. It has a 1 x 400 V AC supply, 1.0 kW cooling power and a 3.0 l tank. It weighs 12.0 kg and measures 660 x 240 x 220 mm.
What it is for
You add the cooling unit when you weld with a liquid-cooled torch. In the water configurations of the Böhler price list 2026/27 the WU 230 appears as follows:

FAQ
What is the difference between WU 230 and WU 2000?
Dimensions, weight, tank and power are the same, but the WU 230 has a 1 x 400 V AC supply, while the WU 2000 has 360 V DC and is listed for URANOS NX 2700/3200 AC/DC and 3200 GSM. They are not interchangeable.
Does the WU 230 fit TERRA NX PMC or SMC?
No. For TERRA NX 320/400 PMC and TERRA NX 400/500 PME the price list provides the WU 430, and for TERRA NX 320/400 SMC the WU 330. The WU 230 is listed for TERRA NX 320 PME, but not for 400/500 PME.
How much coolant do I need?
The tank holds 3.0 l and a CL10 pack contains 10 kg of coolant. One pack covers filling and top-ups.
