The ESAB Aristo Mig LUD 320 is an inverter MIG/MAG power source with a current up to 320 A, liquid cooled. The maker gives 320 A at a 60% duty cycle and 270 A in continuous work at 100%. This is the version without a TIG module, with pulse, synergy and the PUA1 panel.
What this machine is for
A current of 270 A held without breaks means a power source for long welds. The pulse detaches the droplets without a short circuit with the pool, so on stainless steel and aluminium the weld comes out without spatter and without discolouration. A wide list of synergic curves shortens the setting of the parameters: you point out the wire and the gas, and the machine sets the voltage and the feed.
The PUA1 panel leads the settings and shows the working parameters. Liquid cooling keeps the torch in check in work at a high current, which at 320 A is a condition and not an extra.

What to watch out for
The supply is 400 V, so the station needs a power connection. The duty cycle is 320 A at 60% and 270 A at 100%, and it is the 270 A that sets the pace of work on long welds. The cooling is run by liquid, so before the start you check the fluid level, the flow through the circuit and the tightness of the quick couplings, and the torch has to be made for water. This is the version without a TIG module, so for a non consumable electrode you need another machine. The card does not name a torch or cables, ask about the accessories before you buy.

This unit was checked in our service workshop in Krotoszyn with measurements to PN-EN 60974-4 and a load test. The price includes the first year of the basic service package: an inspection with cleaning of the machine and a validation measurement. Further years can be added.
