The EWM Phoenix 351 is an inverter MIG/MAG welder for a 400 V supply, in the version with a gas cooled torch. The source gives 350 A at a 100% duty cycle, so it welds without breaks to cool down. It has synergy, pulse and double pulse.
What this machine is for
The gas cooled version is simpler to run: there is no fluid circuit, no pump and no cooler to watch. The torch is heavier than with liquid cooling, but in interrupted work and in repairs that difference does not get in the way.
A current of 350 A at a continuous 100% load suits work on structural and alloy steel: frames, bodies, machine parts, fillet welds and multi run welds. Synergy matches the voltage to the wire feed speed. Pulse cuts spatter, and double pulse lays an even ripple on aluminium.

What to watch out for
The machine needs a 400 V power socket and a three phase circuit. With gas cooling the torch gets hotter than a liquid cooled one, so on long runs close to 350 A take breaks or drop the current, otherwise the gas nozzle and the contact tip go faster. The torch is 4 m long, so further from the switchboard add a power extension lead. The card gives no weight and no dimensions.
How we sell used machines
This unit was checked in our service workshop in Krotoszyn with measurements to PN-EN 60974-4 and a load test. The price includes the first year of the basic service package: an inspection with cleaning of the machine and a validation measurement. Further years can be added. We ship across the European Union, collection in person by appointment.
