Expert TIG 220 AC/DC Pulse W is an IGBT inverter welder for TIG and TIG PULSE welding on alternating (AC) and direct (DC) current, and for MMA with a coated electrode on direct current (DC). It welds all metals, including aluminium and stainless steel. The set includes a liquid cooler and a tilting trolley. Single-phase 230 V supply, with plug.

Features
Welding modes
You have TIG DC, TIG DC PULSE, TIG AC, TIG AC PULSE, MMA AC and MMA DC modes. TIG DC and TIG DC PULSE weld stainless steel, carbon and low-alloy steels, copper and titanium. TIG AC and TIG AC PULSE weld aluminium, its alloys and brass. The TIG SPOT function is for tacking thin materials.
TIG PULSE and 2-LEVEL
With the pulse parameters you influence the weld shape and arc focus. Pulse reduces the heat going into the material, which helps with thin parts. In TIG 2-LEVEL mode you switch between a higher and a lower current level with successive presses of the torch trigger.
Arc ignition and torch trigger
You strike the arc without contact (HF) or by contact (LIFT). LIFT is used where electromagnetic interference could affect the surroundings. With both methods you choose how the torch trigger works: 2T or 4T (trigger latch for long welds).
Panel and displays
On the digital displays you set gas pre-flow, start current, current rise time, welding current, base current, current fall time, end current, gas post-flow, pulse width and frequency, AC balance and frequency, and the HOT START and ARC FORCE values. You choose the AC voltage waveform on the panel: square or sine. You have 9 slots for your own welding programs.
MMA functions
ARC FORCE (manual short-circuit current adjustment) helps droplet transfer from the electrode to the weld pool and stops the arc going out when a droplet touches it. HOT START (manual hot start adjustment) gives a higher current at each ignition, so the electrode strikes more easily. ANTI STICK switches off the welding voltage when the electrode sticks to the material, so it is easier to pull off and no accidental arc forms.
Cooling and protection
The cooler increases output and protects the torch from overheating. Gas quick coupler: you connect and disconnect the torch without tools. The machine has overload protection.
