The Thermal Dynamics CutMaster 151 is an inverter plasma cutter of American production, air cooled. The arc ignites by contact, with no high frequency circuit. The product record gives a cutting current above 130 A.
What this machine is for
Contact ignition is the main advantage of this design. The arc starts after the electrode touches the material, so the machine sends out no high frequency pulses, which can disturb controllers and electronics in the hall.
Plasma cuts everything that conducts current, so besides mild steel you take acid resistant steel, aluminium and copper. The source description shows a sample of aluminium 15 mm thick cut with this machine. The arc voltage given in the description reaches from 90 V to 120 V, and at the upper value the description gives 100 A. What to watch out for

The record gives no supply voltage, no weight and no dimensions, so settle these figures in advance as well. Plasma needs clean and dry air, so add a dryer and a filter, because water and oil burn the nozzle and the electrode. Contact ignition wears the electrode faster, so keep a stock of consumables.
