The ST 3000 FX U/D is a liquid-cooled TIG torch, 4 m long, with a flexible neck and U/D buttons. You bend the neck by hand in any direction. At 100% duty cycle it carries 250 A DC and 175 A AC and takes electrodes from 0.5 to 4.0 mm.
What it is for
For long welds in vertical, overhead and tight positions; Böhler Welding recommends the FX series for such tasks. It fits the same machines as the ST 3000 U/D and needs a cooling unit and CL10 coolant.

FAQ
How does it differ from the ST 3000 U/D?
The ST 3000 U/D 4 m carries 280 A DC and 220 A AC at 100%. The FX U/D gives you a flexible neck, but the price list rates it lower: 250 A DC and 175 A AC. Consumables are shared.
4 m or 8 m?
The 4 m length is enough at a bench or close to the machine, and the torch is easier to coil up. If you weld further from the power source, for example on a large structure, choose the ST 3000 FX U/D 8 m.
