Description

Product description

Supplied Air is the Böhler Welding regulator that feeds a helmet prepared for air with air from a compressor or compressed air line. The belt-mounted unit reduces the 3-8 bar supply pressure to a breathable level and delivers 180-220 l/min through the hose to the helmet. With an Air series helmet it meets class 4A to EN 14594:2018, i.e. inward leakage of at most 0.05 %.

Who it is for

  • Stationary workstations and assembly lines with permanent access to compressed air.
  • Long maintenance and cleaning jobs within a defined area.
  • Companies that do not want to charge batteries: working time is limited by changing the nuisance filter, at most 90 h.
  • Welders who dislike weight on the belt: the regulator weighs 475 g without belt.

The air from the compressor or line system must meet EN 12021 and be hygienically clean, and the source needs a safety valve. Oxygen-enriched air and explosive areas are not allowed.

What makes the Supplied Air different

  • Flow of 180-220 l/min in 7 positions: pull the knob out, turn it and lock it by pushing back in.
  • Audible alarm (whistle) when the flow drops below 170 l/min.
  • CEJN 320 coupling and 3-8 bar supply pressure; pressure hose up to 10 m.
  • The nuisance filter with sealing ring reduces the noise from the pressure drop; replace it after 90 h at the latest.
  • Weight 475 g without belt, dimensions 86 x 112 x 58 mm.
  • Narrow comfort hip belt with lugs for a shoulder harness.
  • No battery and no main filters: maintenance means changing the nuisance filter.

In the box

  • Supplied Air regulator with nuisance filter and sealing ring
  • Flexible air hose
  • Narrow comfort hip belt
  • Airflow tester
  • Instruction manual

Frequently asked questions

Supplied Air, Evolution Air or Guardian Air?

Supplied Air takes air from the compressed air line, so it has no battery or main filters and weighs 475 g, but the hose ties you to the workstation. The Böhler Welding Evolution Air PAPR blower unit, complete kit with filters and Böhler Welding Guardian Air PAPR blower unit, complete kit with filter filter ambient air and run on a battery for up to 14 h or up to 8 h: you pay for freedom of movement, and with Evolution Air also for the gas filter option.

What compressor do I need?

A 3-8 bar source with a safety valve and air to EN 12021. If the compressor cannot provide this, the manual requires an air treatment unit. Watch out for raised carbon dioxide levels when the compressor runs incorrectly and burns oil.

How long can the hose from the line be?

The pressure hose from the manifold or air treatment unit may be up to 10 m long, straight or coiled (at a force of 50 N). The coupling is CEJN 320.

Can I connect pneumatic tools to the same line?

Yes, but the manual requires that the air flow to the helmet is still sufficient when the tool draws its maximum air. You check this with the Böhler Welding ball rotameter, airflow tester for PAPR and Supplied Air tester.
