What it is for
The contact tip transfers current to the wire and guides it into the arc. Replace it when the bore is worn, the arc becomes unstable or the wire feeds unevenly.

FAQ
Which wire is this tip for?
For 1.6 mm wire. The same version in other sizes: 0.8 mm, 1.0 mm and 1.2 mm.
How does CuCrZr differ from ECu?
CuCrZr is a copper-chromium-zirconium alloy, harder than electrolytic copper (ECu). The bore keeps its size longer at higher currents and during long welding runs; thread and length are the same. In 1.6 mm the Böhler 2026/27 price list has no standard ECu tip, only the aluminium wire version.
Does it fit the MT 150 G?
No. The MT 150 G uses M6 tips, 25 mm long, for example ECu M6 0.8 mm.
