The Evolution V80 Air Kit combines the Evolution V80 Air helmet, where you set the shade yourself in 0.5 steps, with the Evolution Air PAPR in an Evolution Bag 2.0. Viewing area 124 x 80 mm, light state DIN 2.5, shade ranges DIN 4-8 and 9-14 and optical class V1 to ISO 16321-2. The 180-240 l/min air supply reaches class TH3 to EN 12941 with P R SL and A1B1E1 P R SL filters, and the 7800 mAh battery charges in 3 h.

Who it is for
- Welders who want to see more: a 124 x 80 mm viewing area at high welding speeds and in different positions.
- MIG/MAG, TIG, MMA, plasma cutting and grinding in one helmet: you only change the shade range or switch on GRIND.
- Gases and vapours: with A1B1E1 P R SL filters the system stays in class TH3.
- Long shifts: up to 14 h per battery, 3 h to recharge.
The helmet is not for laser or gas welding (acetylene). Limits of the blower system: closed tanks, pipes and ducts without ventilation, oxygen below 19.5 %, explosive atmospheres and strong wind all rule out work with this kit.

V80 Air Kit, V80M Air Kit or Evolution Vision 65F Air Kit?
The Böhler Welding Evolution V80M Air Kit, auto-shade welding helmet with Evolution Air PAPR has the same blower unit and viewing area; the extra cost buys AUTO mode, TACK mode for tacking and the shade lock. The Böhler Welding Evolution Vision 65F Air Kit, flip-up welding helmet with Evolution Air PAPR has a smaller viewing area (65 x 96 mm), but a flip-up filter with a 180 x 90 mm grinding visor underneath.
Is the V80 Air suitable for plasma cutting and grinding?
Yes. The Evolution V80 is designed for MIG, TIG, MMA, plasma cutting and grinding: CUT mode DIN 4-8, WELD mode DIN 9-14 and the GRIND button on the side of the helmet. It is not for laser or gas welding.
What do I charge a second battery with?
The kit battery charges in 3 h with the universal quick charger with USB-C port. As a second battery choose the Böhler Welding heavy-duty quick-charge battery 7800 mAh Evolution Air, Guardian Air of the same type; the Evolution Air manual specifies the Böhler Welding PAPR quick charger for the quick-charge battery Evolution Air, Guardian Air quick charger for it.
