Fitting and first charge of the heavy-duty 7800 mAh battery
Slide the battery into the unit the right way up until the catch engages; the catch must be fully locked. To remove it, pull back the catch and lift the battery out. A new battery arrives partly charged: before first use, run it flat in the unit and then charge it for 16 h.
When the unit starts, the battery LEDs flash red and go out. If they stay on, the battery needs charging. If the operating time after a full charge drops noticeably, the manual advises replacing the battery.
