The Guardian Air motor unit is the blower with control panel and filter cover for the Guardian Air PAPR system, sold without filters. You order it as a spare part when the rest of the system is in working order. Assembled with a P R SL filter it delivers 180-220 l/min in 6 levels and class TH3 to EN 12941.

The assembled system is subject to the same restrictions as a new one: no closed tanks and ducts without ventilation, no oxygen below 19.5 %, no explosive zones and no strong wind.

The battery, charger, belt and hose move over from your existing kit.
How do I change the filter in Guardian Air?
Pull the filter cover away from the right side of the unit, without tools; using tools is not allowed. Take out the filter, remove dust from the unit so that it does not fall into the inlet, slide in the new filter, fit the pre-filter and spark arrestor, and the cover clicks into place when closed.
Motor unit or the complete Guardian Air?
The motor unit is enough if the battery, charger, belt and hose are in working order. The complete Böhler Welding Guardian Air PAPR blower unit, complete kit with filter differs in that one kit gives you the unit with P R SL filter, 5200 mAh battery, charger, hose, belt and airflow tester; choose it when you equip a workstation from scratch.
