The Evolution Vision 65FM Air Kit is for welders who do not want to keep resetting the shade: in AUTO mode the ADF of the Evolution Vision 65FM Air helmet adjusts the shade to the arc intensity by itself. The kit also includes the Evolution Air PAPR and a blue Evolution bag. Viewing area 65 x 96 mm, optical class 1/1/1/1 to EN 379, a 180 x 90 mm grinding visor under the flip-up ADF and 180-240 l/min of air in class TH3 to EN 12941, also with gas filters.

Who it is for
- Changing currents and processes in one shift: AUTO mode sets the shade by itself as you move between tasks.
- Grinding between passes without taking the helmet off: there is a 180 x 90 mm visor under the lifted filter.
- Gases and vapours in the workshop: with A1B1E1 P R SL filters the kit stays in class TH3.
The helmet is not intended for laser or acetylene welding. Evolution Air does not produce air, it only filters it, so you do not use it in closed tanks and ducts without ventilation, where oxygen is lacking (below 19.5 %), in explosive atmospheres or in strong wind.

The Evolution Vision 65FM filter reads the arc intensity and sets the shade itself. You shift the result by 2 shades up or down, and the MODE button takes you back at any time to the manual WELD (DIN 9-14) and CUT (DIN 4-8) modes.
What do I pay extra for compared with the 65F Air Kit, and how does the V80M Air Kit differ?
The difference from the Böhler Welding Evolution Vision 65F Air Kit, flip-up welding helmet with Evolution Air PAPR is the filter with AUTO mode and the matt shell; the blower unit, bag and spare parts are the same. The Böhler Welding Evolution V80M Air Kit, auto-shade welding helmet with Evolution Air PAPR has a larger viewing area (124 x 80 mm instead of 65 x 96 mm) and a battery that charges in 3 h, but no grinding visor under a flip-up filter.
Does the kit protect against gases?
Yes, once you replace the P R SL filters with a pair of Böhler Welding A1B1E1 P R SL gas filter Evolution Air (2 pcs). A1B1E1 P R SL stops organic vapours with a boiling point above 65 °C, inorganic and acid gases such as sulphur dioxide, and particles. With the Evolution Vision 65FM Air the class stays TH3 at 180-200 l/min.
